End of Prejudice

Why is tomato red or why some of the bell peppers yellow/red, while most of the veggies are green!

Why okra has always been all ages’ favorite, while some of us don’t even like karela; bitter gourd!

Why Dragon fruit, Kiwi are all time high, while guava and bananas have been so affordable till date?

Think of a situation that would have ever arisen amongst these vegetables and fruits. So, many of us would have oathed of never having veggies other than the vegetables that are green, yes! Okra (or take your fav veggie) would have always been our lunch and dinner and we would have probably never thought of buying Kiwi which is so valuable.

Ages and centuries, generations after generations have been “passed” and Differentiation has also been “passed”. I have personally been encountering differentiation in the society not as a victim, but seeing others being. Take all destitute(s) and Richie(s), General and OBCs, males and females, literates and illiterates, blacks and whites, Hindu and Muslims and their religions. The contagious disease is immortal in the mortal beings and will remain till eternity. So, we are not left with any solution? You might be questioning or perhaps not. This too has a solution and the most we can do is to help eradicating it from the society because we are after-all humans. How can we expect unity when unity itself denies to unify! It comes to ‘India-as a whole’ when it comes to war, war against Pakistan, war against China and now corona else this is not India, this is Southern India (or take for any other region)! The Hindu religion is said to have been existing far before than any other religion had ever been! The only religion which exist is Islam! Who was born first? Tamil, Telugu are the oldest languages! Ramayana was written by Valmiki first! Jainism is the best religion of all, following ‘Ahimsa Parmo Dharma’ and you must follow! and so on…..

Males have always been a dominant part, the Patriarchy. Despite being women empowerment, educations on “equality”, females are still apart from many privileges indeed! The biggest factor of all is nothing more than a woman “herself”. Yes, if she had ever understood her worth, then it would have been easier to explain others that she’s also a human like a man is, that she owns her life too, but not and even some of us could, then our ancestors had been successful in intervening and make them walk on-to their choices of living. A woman is taught to be calm, respecting, obedient, and all those “gund” a daughter in law is expected to possess before being in her husband's house. Fine! I am not denying to follow the track of goodness but it is only ‘she’ who needs to be told or expected. Has anyone thought of applying the same in girl’s In-law home too? Has anyone? Has anyone taught each other or probably themselves to be generous and respecting to the woman who is to come to their homes?

No, I think we never. If we had ever done this, the word ‘clashes’, ‘fights’ would have hardly existed. Now, please do not even start to explain- a female is bound to bind the families or a female is birthed to follow all rituals, customs, sayings, etc…etc… because she is a ‘woman’, a ‘girl’. Stop! Up until this ‘equality’ had ever come, all things from being a daughter to daughter in law, from being a girl to a mother, from being a sister to a wife be it in any season, any situation/so-called rities, rivazs were followed and implied on women. Until this EQUALITY had come! Till now you must have assessed or judged me as ‘Feminist’. No, you are not wrong! I am a Feminist.

What has education done to us? Has this been successful in broadening our mindset? Has that made you to move on the track of Justice? Has this really made you a ‘human’? Enough of questions. Well, I would never blame Education for being a character in you, making you to function this way, that way or your way. If ‘education’ had been the sole reason in impacting our ‘behavior’, then we might have got to see their direct relationship. India wouldn’t have got Modi ji as our hon’ble Prime Minister and Vijay Mallaya as country’s deceiver. Their intelligence, mental stability, functioning and their decisions prove that they haven’t got rooted by education. Our activities are actually not governed by education, while somewhat it apparently influences one. Now, please answer me, does this anyway define illiteracy/literacy? Do we need to judge people on the basis of their education or qualification? Does the above has any reference to or anything to do with one’s being literate or illiterate? If no, then why do we do this? Why do we make judgements? Or why do we make illiterates or uneducated the part of mockery?

----- Your literacy calls another illiterate! How your comment makes you literate then?

India has inadequate ironies. The irony of being a 55% or 60% scorer over all while mere graduation cannot land you with good employment and by good, I mean one’s position or salary. The irony of being creative and talented but Corporates judge you on the basis of your marks/grades. If education had been the base, then a 10th standard student wouldn’t have got success in attaining the total worth of Reliance as 25.6 billion dollars in 2002. Think!

The irony of calling whites as the only beauty. Even roses are black and they do smell the same as others and I guess, everybody likes it and even do I. How do you define beauty? Don’t we worship deities like Kalratri or Krishna? Don’t we? Thanks to our audiences and amazing celebs who are promoting fairness creams in the market and making those innocents feel down! Gods and Goddesses have never seen this being the discriminating factor, neither for themselves nor for the humans and nature he gave birthed to, then who are we to decide what is ugly and what is beautiful? What sooths our eyes? Who can fit to the society and who cannot! I request those who make the differences to kindly walk a mile in their (the sufferers) shoes. Empathize please.

Last is the most common difference we face in our day to day routines, The Religion!

https://asiasociety.org/education/jati-caste-system-india

The choice of admiring one’s religion is not at all bad, the problem arises when we consider our religion superior to others or demean other religions in front of ours’. In simple terms, Religion is a worship of God/idols or a faith in personal God. Personal God? Personal god has nothing to do with your beloved idol, but it is a worship of someone as a person, say Father in Christianity, Pandits/Saints in Hindus, etc. However, Religion does not end here and neither starts from here. Religion in another word is ‘Philanthrophy’ meaning Love for Mankind. Religion relates to ‘Humanity’, being religious means being humane, humane to all humans despite their all odds and evens, to all animals and nature surrounding us. It is a respect we honor to all beings, all livings and passives evolving in the ecosystem. Religion has its existence over art, music, dance, festivals, funerary services, meditation, prayer, matrimonial ceremonies and the other activities such. Religion tells the origin of life, its purpose. Moreover, Faith is the source of religious beliefs, it exists if you consider, if you don’t then you are religiously unaffiliated atheist and if you question upon its existence then you are agnostic. Now let me just question on the irony being arisen here. How can an atheist be away from the activities mentioned above? (because all those are connected with religion)

Say cooking, cooking is an art and for this art we require raw food viz rice, wheat flour and the most importantly fire. Don’t we worship their lords? Don’t we respect food? Take music, for every instrument/vocal, we gotta get to learn the initials Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, we start from there and we worship them parallelly being devoted to Maa Saraswati. Festivals such as auspicious Holi, Diwali, Christmas, Eid, Baisakhi can never find their meanings without being worshipped. The couple is said to take Saat Pheras, the rotation happens around agni. Religion is not only about casteism or worshipping of idols. From coming in the world to cremation of human body is religion per se.

Over 10000s of Religions exist worldwide, but fighting in the name sake of Secularism is not prudence. It is the beauty of India that we get to see so much of diversity. We get to celebrate these festivals; we get to worship every idol. I find this “India’s Beauty” and literally our country is ‘incredible’.

Indigenousness gets at stake when superiority forms the layer over your religion and even the humanity becomes a big question on humans when discrimination finds its peak. Let all join our hands, come together and stand as one, as humans and most importantly as Indians. Jai Hind
